What is the problem you are trying to solve?
We are offering a safe space for children who are finding their grief journey to be a lonely one, so they can be around other children who are experiencing similar feelings and experiences and to feel part of a community.
What motivates you to do this work?
The impact! Since launching the cafe in January 2022, we have supported 615 individuals which evidences the need for our support and safe space at our cafe. This motivates us to reach many more children and there families in need.
The support from the Pearce Foundation:
We have been very lucky to have had the support from Pearce Foundation. Not only have we received financial support with funding a video to share with the world the fantastic work our charity does and to support children and their families at the start of their grief journey to see what it is like at the cafe before they come but we have also had amazing guidance and support through having to navigate the charity through tricky times in the current climate.
We also benefited through offers of connections with other people who can help us.
